Getting to Mona’s Cottage

Mona’s is two miles south of Berwick upon Tweed, in Scremerston, making it easily accessible whether you are travelling by car, train or air. 


By Car: One hour by road from central Edinburgh.


From Glasgow & West Scotland: Join M8 to Edinburgh City Bypass A720. Then take A1 South. Exit at third roundabout for Berwick/Scremerston, first turning on right and them about 100yards it’s the first exit on right onto Deputy Row.


From South & East: Follow A1 North. Exit at roundabout onto for Berwick, first turning on right and them about 100 yards. Take the first exit on the right onto Deputy Row.

By Train: From Edinburgh Waverley, trains stop at Berwick Train Station.

By Air: Edinburgh International Airport is located around 7 miles west of the capital. With the A1 only a couple of miles away, this means that the airport can be accessed in around 1 hour 15 minutes. Additionally, Newcastle, Glasgow and Glasgow Prestwick Airports are all under 2 hours away.
